An out-of-the-means diner turns into the unlikely battleground for the survival of the human race. When God loses religion in humankind, he sends his legion of angels to carry on the Apocalypse. Humanity's solely hope lies in a bunch of strangers trapped in a desert diner with the Archangel Michael (Bettany). God loses faith in mankind and orders Angel Michael along with a legion of different angels to carry the Apocalypse to Earth and exterminate the human race. Nonetheless, Michael rebels towards the order and decides to assist the humans. In the meantime in a diner in the course of nowhere, Bob Hanson, runs the place along with his son Jeep, a pregnant waitress, Charlie, and his pal Percy Walker. Their customers, the Anderson household, are stranded till Jeep can fix their BMW and lonely Kyle Williams who is lost.
